ALERT!!—New Brown’s Corner Stop in Willits

Lilia Carrillo at the new Alder Stop in south Willits. The Willits local bus and all southbound MTA buses stop here.

Mendocino Transit Authority is proud to announce that a shiny new bus stop shelter called Alder Stop has been constructed to replace the former Brown’s Corner bus stop and shelter at the south end of Willits.  The new Alder Stop is directly behind the Lumberjack Restaurant and across the street from Rite Aid in the Evergreen Shopping Center at 1726 S. Main Street.  It is kitty-corner to Alder Lane. The new shelter provides weather protection and shopping convenience for passengers awaiting southbound MTA bus service and provides more safety by keeping customers off highway 101.

Thanks to our customers for your patience during the time it took for MTA to relocate the stop and shelter—and to Lilia Carrillo, who showed up to help us with our “grand opening” celebration!   We’ll see you at Alder Stop!
