Free Bus Rides for Summer College Students

Students enrolled at Mendocino College for the summer semester beginning June 11, 2018, are eligible for free rides on any MTA bus traveling throughout Mendocino County, including to the college’s campuses in Ukiah, Fort Bragg and Willits.

Manuel Dunken, Mendocino College student, gets a free bus ride from the Ukiah campus to downtown Ukiah where he will catch a ride home with his parents.

Once enrolled, students can get a sticker that goes on the back of their student ID and is presented to the driver when boarding the bus. At the Ukiah campus, stickers are available at the front desk of the college library.

MTA General Manager Carla Meyer and Mendocino College President J. Arturo Reyes both said that a college education is an important factor in lifetime success and that free bus transportation makes college more affordable.
